I’m sure most of us wish daily for a perfectly white Hollywood smile, but not all of us are lucky to have pearly whites naturally, or have the money to create them!
BUT…there are ways to give your teeth a bit of a polish and a temporary whiter appearance with the use of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda).
This simple ingredient, can do wonders for some of your body parts and teeth are no exception!
How to do it:
- First, start by putting a small amount of bicarbonate of soda into a bowl and then add a tiny amount of water! Mix into a paste (add more water if necessary but you don’t want it to be like a liquid).
- Wet your toothbrush and then dip into the paste.
- Brush your teeth for around 2 minutes. The taste isn’t very nice so be warned! (The results are worth it).
- Make sure to rinse your mouth thoroughly and repeat again before bed.
If you do this twice a day you will see a difference as bicarbonate of soda is a natural teeth cleaner and whitening agent! Follow with a mouthwash if desired to remove the nasty taste. (It is yucky, but I saw a difference!).
Let me know if this works for you!
Bit of an update:
I spoke to my dentist earlier today about this and one thing she did mention was to not to do this too often, as it can erode the enamel on your teeth if done too regularly! So do take that in mind
Admittedly there was no need for the pig picture..but it’s there anyway!
