Benefit “Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow” Foundation Review!

A little while ago, I popped into Debenhams in Wrexham (a town in  Wales!). They didn’t have that much going on makeup wise in there, but they did have a benefit counter. Obviously I was drawn over like a moth to a flame, and I knew that money would be parted from me and it would be something I would just have to deal with. I mean, how can you resist?

I did restrain myself and only purchased one item which was the POREfessional primer (see review here). But luckily, the lovely lady gave me a very cute sample size of the “Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow” foundation. Yay for me! And it definitely deserves a big “yay!”.

First of all, it has a pump, so that takes out all the unnecessary issues with wasting product and having too much come out resulting in very stressy and messy times. I‘m a poet and I didn’t know it!

Secondly, the packaging is decent. It’s not extravagant by any means, but it’s nice. And fits nicely with benefits slightly younger and quirky branding than some of the other high end brands out there on the market.

Now, thirdly, we get onto the actual product itself.  Benefit claims that it is an oil-free, brightening foundation, with medium coverage. It is SPF 25 and gives a luminous finish to the skin. Do I agree? Yep! It does exactly what it says on the tin, whilst still maintaining that natural “I’m not wearing any foundation, honestly!” look. We know it’s a lie, but they don’t have to!

It’s lovely to apply, blending nicely onto the skin, and lasts reasonably long throughout the day. They have 9 shades in the selection, and I was matched with Ivory which actually does match perfectly. I love it so much, I think I will be purchasing the full size of this. So to sum up, I’m a happy bunny. It’s easy to get the product out, the packaging is fine, and the product is great! What more good a girl ask for?

If you would like to purchase this yourself, it is currently £25.50 (probably best to ask for a sample first though, just incase!).

    • Hey! Sorry for the late reply to your comment! I quite like to apply it with my hands then buff in with a buffing brush, just to perfect it a little. I find that works quite well 🙂

  1. Is Ivory the lightest shade? I bought the ‘How To Look the Best At Everything’ kit in Light, and the HFOW Foundation was wayyyyy to orange and dark for me… also, that sample is huge! 😀 🙂

    • Hi 🙂 From what I can see, there is two Ivory’s, one is more yellow based and the other is more pink! The pink looks the lightest shade out of the two. And I know, it’s really big for a sample, which is always nice!
