Benefit POREfessional Primer Review

I first used this product when I received a free sample in a magazine. At the time I didn’t really think much about it, that was till I tried it on and my first impression was “wow!”.

I still feel like that today, which is why I went to a benefit counter and purchased myself a full size of this bad boy. I know there is a lot of mixed reviews, but for my skin type it works perfectly (I’m combination to oily). It helps to mattify the skin in just the right places, whilst still maintaining that dewy glow that I’ve grown accustomed to. The texture is just what I like in a primer, thick and velvety which works perfectly under my Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation (yeah, had to mention that one again!).

For lasting power I would give this a solid 10 out of 10. Why? Because I have worn this on a lot of nights out, to return home with my makeup still completely intact on my face after dancing and sweating and probably somewhere along the way spilling alcohol on my face – it happens!

If you have really dry skin, this probably won’t be for you as it is quite matte and can also be quite drying, which is probably the exact opposite of what you want to achieve.

Would I recommend it? Yep definitely, if you have the right skin type for it. I recon if you are a combination to oily then you probably will enjoy this, if you have dry skin to very dry then maybe something a bit lighter would work better. But go check it out and see for yourselves if you haven’t already. I know this is going to be one of my “holy grail” products from now on!
