I don’t know about you, but I love to find out new tips on beauty especially when the ingredients are in most households already and no money is required! So here is a few points that could help you!
If you find that your skin is sensitive and blotchy, apply a couple of tablespoons of honey to your face and leave on for five to 10 minutes. Honey is a great moisturiser and will soothe and help kill bad bacteria that causes blemishes.
Honey is a superfood and thanks to its antibacterial and antioxidant qualities, it’s fast becoming a beauty industry staple!
If you happen to burn your forehead or hand using a hair curler or hair straighteners, slather plain yogurt onto it — the coolness will help with any swelling and the yogurt will reduce redness and speed the healing process!
Whether you are suffering from dry or itchy skin due to harsh winter weather or discomfort from summer bug bites, mixing cooking oats into your bath can help to give you relief!
Cucumber Eye Treatment:
Ever since I was little I have always used Cucumbers as a great way to soothe tired eyes and they can easily be used to alleviate dark circles and swelling around the eyes too. Simply slice the cucumber and put the slices over your eyes, keeping them there for twenty minutes. It’s also a good opportunity to take some time to yourself and relax!
This toner is perfect for those with oily skin! Mix ½ cup lemon juice, 1 cup water, and 2/3rd cup of witch hazel. You can apply this onto the skin with a cotton pad. The great thing about this is that it can be stored in a jar and kept for future use, but should be shaken before it is used.
Garlic Acne Killer:
Now we all now garlic has quite a smell to it, but it can be a great way of cleaning out your pores (if you can deal with the smell!). Peel and mash a garlic clove into a paste and then apply it to a spot. Then leave it on for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water and a cloth if desired.
The great thing about these tips is that they can save you money. Money that can be spent on a new favourite lipstick or a eye shadow you have had your eyes on for ages! If you try any of these out, let me know if they worked for you!
