First of all, Welcome to my new beauty blog! I figured since it’s now 2013, I should finally get this blog up and running and start posting some content (consider it a new years resolution!).
Yesterday I purchased a few make up items from Topshop, and I have to say that I love them all! I have been iffing and ahhing about buying make up from Topshop for a while now, but never got round to doing it! The price isn’t exactly cheap as chips, and I was afraid that I might regret buying stuff from there and waste my money. HOWEVER, I was completely wrong and will definitely be buying from there again!
So first of all, was the Gel Eye Liner in Ink which is £8, so not too bad for a gel eyeliner really. I have to say that I LOVE this product! Love love love! But to be honest you can’t really go wrong with them as they are pretty much all the same, but still! The colour pay off is brilliant and it lasts for a really long time. (So be careful when applying as it can be quite hard to remove!). I really would recommend this if you are too afraid to go all out and spend more on a product like MAC or Bobbi Brown as in my opinion it is just as good and does the same thing. Make sure you have a good eyeliner brush to use this with as it really does help.
Next was the Glow Highlighter in Polish. This is such a pretty product and looks beautiful on the skin. I have used it on the brown bones and cheek bones and find it gives me that little extra radiance that I sometimes lose from putting foundation on. The consistency is a little thick, so don’t put too much on as you will end up looking like a disco ball! However, it really is a lovely product and you get a lot in the container so it should last a long time. I would definitely recommend this product, especially if you are of a more fairer skin tone. This was £9 but I do think it’s worth the money if you are looking for a new highlighter.
Another product was the Glaze lipgloss in the colour Bubblegum which was £6. I am not too keen on this as I think the consistency is a little too thick for my liking, although it does leave a really nice finish on the lips. The colour doesn’t come out exactly how it looks in the container, but still leaves a nice colour n the lips, especially over a nice pink lipstick such as speed dial from MAC (will be doing a post about my MAC lipsticks soon!). Overall, I do like this lipgloss but I don’t think I would re-purchase as it’s not my favourite, but that’s just me!
And finally I brought the concealer brush, which I am actually really pleased with. It blends the concealer in nicely and is easy to use. It was only £5 which is relatively cheap for a make up brush when you compare it to high end brands. Basically it does the job and that’s good enough for me. The brush is smooth and feels soft on the skin, the handle is actually nice to hold and not too short or too long, just right I think. I would consider buying more brushes from Topshop as I think the quality is actually very good for the price!
So there you have it! A few nice things from the Make up range from Topshop, and I am really pleased with what I bought and think I will definitely be buying some more products soon (after my bank balance has recovered from Christmas that is!) Hope you enjoyed reading!
